Vision Redbridge Culture & Leisure is looking for an experienced and proactive Halls Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of two of our key community venues, Sir James Hawkey Hall and Redbridge Town Hall.
This is an exciting opportunity to manage busy and diverse function halls that hosts weddings, celebrations, community events, corporate hires and cultural activities throughout the year. You will play a vital role in ensuring the venue is safe, welcoming, well maintained and operating to the highest standards of customer service.
Working closely with the Vision Venues Manager and the wider Culture and Libraries team, you will be responsible for overseeing facilities staff, managing venue operations, supporting income generation and ensuring every event runs smoothly from start to finish.
About the Role
As Halls Manager, you will:
Lead the day-to-day management of Sir James Hawkey Hall and Redbridge Town Hall and its associated facilities.
Manage and support Facilities Assistants, caretakers and porters, including rota planning and resource management.
Deliver excellent customer service to hirers, visitors, schools, community groups and partners.
Promote and maximise venue bookings, functions and events to increase income and community participation.
Monitor and manage income and expenditure, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.
Oversee building maintenance, repairs and improvements, along with all service contracts and working with contractors where required.
Ensure the venue meets all health, safety, security and compliance requirements.
Support the planning, delivery and development of events and functions that contribute to the success of the venue.
