What you’ll be doingThe Digital Marketing and Events Officer supports the school’s marketing, admissions, and communications by managing online channels, producing high-quality multimedia content, and delivering engaging events for various stakeholders across the customer lifecycle. Operating within GDST brand guidelines, the role highlights the school’s unique identity and student achievements while promoting the benefits of the broader GDST network.Working closely with the Admissions and Marketing Manager and school staff, the postholder helps drive a dynamic digital strategy, maintains a cohesive visual identity, and executes professional events. Ultimately, this role aims to strengthen relationships with current families, attract prospective students, and build a strong, distinctive presence both online and offline.What skills and experience you’ll bring to the roleThe ideal candidate combines exceptional creative, language, and organizational skills with strong target focus and adaptability, including flexibility for out-of-hours event management. Innovators and collaborative communicators, they leverage excellent interpersonal abilities to build trust, inspire diverse audiences, and achieve results using standard office software (Microsoft Office/Google Suite).They bring a strong digital marketing background—ideally in education or charity—with expertise in multimedia storytelling, content creation, and event delivery. Proficient in platforms like WordPress, Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, and DSLR/mobile production, they are also data-driven. They excel in SEO/AEO optimization, analytics (GA4, social metrics), and managing paid campaigns across Meta, LinkedIn, and Google Ads.Who we areThe Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST) is the UK’s leading group of 23 independent girls’ schools and two academies across England and Wales.
