Corporate Health & Safety Officer needed in Maidstone Paying £25 per hr ref OR115825

Full time hours on a temporary basis

Provide competent health and safety advice to managers, employees, elected members, and contractors.
Support the development, implementation, and review of corporate health and safety policies, procedures, and guidance.
Monitor compliance with relevant legislation, including the Health and Safety at Work Act and associated regulations.
Undertake workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments across council services and sites.
Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and dangerous occurrences, recommending corrective actions.
Maintain and monitor corporate health and safety management systems and performance indicators.
Deliver health and safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions.
Support managers in undertaking and reviewing risk assessments and safe working procedures.
Advise on contractor management, construction projects, CDM compliance, and procurement-related health and safety matters.
Prepare reports, statistics, and performance updates for senior management and corporate governance boards.
Assist with emergency planning, business continuity, and health and safety compliance projects.
Promote continuous improvement and a positive health and safety culture throughout the organisation.
