Care Worker – Domiciliary Care

Springvilla Care Limited is looking for caring, reliable and compassionate Care Workers to join our friendly domiciliary care team, within either Brent or Lewisham.

You will provide person-centred care and support to people in their own homes, helping them to remain independent, safe and comfortable.

The role includes:

· Supporting people with personal care, including washing, dressing, oral hygiene and grooming.

· Assisting with mobility and daily living activities.

· Supporting with meals, drinks and household tasks where required.

· Providing companionship and emotional support.

· Supporting people to maintain their independence, dignity and choice.

· Following individual care and support plans and risk assessments.

· Supporting with medication where this is part of the care plan and you are trained to do so.

· Reporting any changes or concerns about a person's wellbeing.

· Working respectfully with service users, families and other care professionals.

· Maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries.

· Completing care records accurately.

Who we're looking for

We are looking for people who are caring, patient, reliable and respectful, with a genuine interest in helping others.

You may already have experience in care, or you may be considering care as a new career or career change.

We are also very happy to hear from people who are returning to work after a career break, returning to care after time away, or looking for a rewarding role later in their working life.

Life experience, maturity and understanding can be incredibly valuable when supporting someone in their own home.

You don't necessarily need years of care experience. What matters most is the right attitude, reliability, willingness to learn and treating people with dignity and respect.

Important – Travel is part of the job

This is a domiciliary care role, so you will be travelling between the homes of the people we support.

You must be comfortable travelling to different care visits and be prepared to use public transport, walk between visits or use your own vehicle where appropriate.

Please consider the travel involved before applying. Being able to reliably get to your allocated visits on time is an essential part of the role.

We will do our best to allocate suitable visits based on your location and availability, but this is not a role where you will be based in one building or at one address.

You should be able to:

· Communicate well with service users, families and colleagues.

· Respect people's choices, privacy, dignity and independence.

· Follow care plans, instructions and company procedures.

· Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.

· Work as part of a team while also using your own initiative.

· Complete required training and continue to develop your skills.

· Travel reliably between care visits.

What we offer:

· Full training and support.

· Ongoing development opportunities.

· A friendly and supportive team.

· The opportunity to make a genuine difference to people's lives.

· Flexible care work opportunities.

If you're looking for a fresh start, returning to work, changing career or simply want a job where you can make a real difference, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply today by sending your CV and cover letter to gailconlon@springvillacare.co.uk and become part of the Springvilla Care team.
