Summary

Site Supervisor / General Foreman

Location: Crossaig, Argyll and Bute, PA29 6YQ

Contract: Outside IR35

Start Date: 5 October 2026

End Date: 31 May 2027

Hours: 50 hours per week

Duration: Approx. 8 months

Position: 1

Pay Rates:

LTD / Umbrella

  • First 37 hours: £39.00 per hour
  • After 37 hours / First 4 hours Saturday: £41.34 per hour
  • After 4 hours Saturday / Sunday / Bank Holiday: £45.06 per hour

The Role:

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Supervisor / General Foreman to support a major energy infrastructure project at Crossaig.

The successful candidate will take a lead role supporting the Site Manager, coordinating site teams and supervising subcontractors across various work fronts.

This role would suit someone with a strong civils, construction or energy background who has previously worked as a General Foreman, Site Supervisor or similar and is confident managing subcontractors and site activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate small teams across multiple work fronts.
  • Supervise subcontractors and ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
  • Support the Site Manager with day-to-day site delivery.
  • Plan upcoming works and ensure the required labour, plant, materials and engineering information are available.
  • Monitor progress against the project programme and highlight potential delays or issues.
  • Coordinate activities between different work parties to maintain safe and efficient working.
  • Monitor the quality and progress of subcontractor works.
  • Ensure all activities comply with site QEHS procedures and project requirements.
  • Support the preparation and completion of project documentation and task cards.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timesheets and relevant documentation are completed on time.
  • Identify and report delays and disruption against the original scope of works.
  • Ensure works are completed on time, to the required quality and within budget.
  • Promote a strong health and safety culture across the site.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a General Foreman, Site Supervisor, Mechanical Supervisor or similar.
  • Strong civils, construction, utilities or energy infrastructure background.
  • Proven experience supervising subcontractors.
  • Experience coordinating site teams and multiple work fronts.
  • Experience working on power, energy, industrial, construction or similar projects.
  • CSCS card.
  • SSSTS or SMSTS.
  • Strong understanding of health, safety, quality and environmental requirements.
  • Ability to lead teams while working closely with the Site Manager.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive approach to problem solving and site coordination.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of site activities.

This is a long-term opportunity running through to May 2027 on a major energy infrastructure project.
