London school seeking a
Graduate Learning Support Assistant to join their team from September 2026.
This role is ideal for Psychology graduates who want to gain first-hand experience supporting students with additional needs and explore a future career in teaching, SEND or educational support.
The Role
As a Graduate Learning Support Assistant, you’ll work closely with teachers, SEND professionals and wider inclusion teams to provide high-quality support to students with a range of individual needs and backgrounds.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing 1:1 and small-group learning support.
Helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve positive outcomes.
Applying your understanding of psychology to adapt support to individual students.
Working with teaching staff to deliver classroom activities and develop learning resources.
Supporting students with organisation, revision, confidence and independent learning.
Encouraging pupils to engage actively and positively in their education.
Candidate Profile
The school is particularly interested in graduates with:
A
Psychology degree (First Class or 2:1 preferred).
Strong academic results at A Level and GCSE.
A genuine interest in child development, SEND and educational psychology.
Ambition to pursue a long-term career in education or student support.
Previous tutoring, mentoring, youth work, school or volunteering experience is advantageous but
not essential.
A proactive, patient and resilient approach.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
