We now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Property Maintenance Person to join our friendly and supportive team at Broadhurst Care Home.
About Broadhurst Care Home
Broadhurst Care Home provides accommodation and personal care for up to 25 residents aged 65+, including individuals living with dementia or physical health needs. The home has a warm, family feel — and maintaining a safe, comfortable environment is essential to the wellbeing of our residents.
About the Role
This role covers the general maintenance and upkeep of the property, ensuring the building and grounds remain safe, functional, and well presented.
You will need practical skills in:
• Basic plumbing
• Basic electrical work
• Carpentry
• Decorating
You will require a basic tool kit to carry out day to day tasks; any additional specialist tools will be provided.
Can you confidently:
• Fit a TMV?
• Install a door closer?
• Repair a profiling bed?
• Clean and maintain extractor fans?
• Fit handrails?

Outdoor Maintenance
The role also includes general upkeep of the garden areas to keep the grounds looking their best.
Who We’re Looking For
We’d like to hear from someone who:
• Has experience in a maintenance related field
• Is reliable, enthusiastic, and takes pride in their work
• Has a caring nature and good communication skills
• Enjoys being part of a supportive team
We are offering 24 hours per week for this position. Hourly rate is dependent on experience.
