Your new company

A leading infrastructure and utilities contractor is seeking an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to provide commercial support across a portfolio of civil engineering and infrastructure schemes. The business delivers essential projects across multiple sectors and offers the opportunity to work on a range of schemes valued between £1m and £4m.

Your new role

As Project Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of several live projects from commencement through to final account. Working closely with operational teams, you will ensure robust cost control, accurate reporting and effective subcontractor management.

Key responsibilities will include:

Managing the full project lifecycle from procurement to final account.

Preparing and managing valuations, variations and compensation events.

Producing accurate cost reports, forecasts and CVRs.

Managing subcontractor procurement, payments and account settlements.

Monitoring project performance and identifying commercial risks and opportunities.

Supporting project teams to maximise profitability and contract compliance.

Administering NEC contracts, including change management and contractual communications.

Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed

Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor or Project Quantity Surveyor within civils, infrastructure, utilities or related sectors.

Strong understanding and practical experience of NEC3 contracts, particularly Option A and Option C.

Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Ability to produce accurate commercial reports, forecasts and cost control documentation.

Strong subcontract management and procurement experience.

Commercially astute with excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and standard commercial management systems.

Full UK driving licence required.
