Summary
We are currently recruiting for an experienced
CNC Multi-Tasking Lathe Operator to join a busy manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating CNC machinery to manufacture high-quality components supporting internal assembly flow lines and ensuring production targets are achieved safely, accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC multi-tasking lathes to produce small to medium-sized batches efficiently and accurately.
- Manufacture components from raw material in line with engineering drawings and production requirements.
- Complete
- Carry out in-process quality inspections and complete all required quality documentation.
- Identify and report quality defects or issues to the CNC Setter or Supervisor.
- Ensure machine oils, lubricants and coolants are maintained at optimum levels.
- Change swarf bins and assist with machine sump-outs and cleaning when required.
- Complete daily, weekly and monthly machine maintenance checks.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards within the working area.
- Report machine faults, maintenance issues or other concerns promptly to supervision.
- Carry out deburring, cleaning and final inspection of finished components.
- Complete all relevant traceability and production documentation.
- Follow company work instructions, quality procedures and health & safety requirements.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by management.

- Take reasonable care of your own health and safety, as well as that of colleagues and others who may be affected by your work.
- Cooperate with all health and safety requirements and procedures.

The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience operating CNC lathes or multi-tasking CNC machinery.
- The ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Experience carrying out quality inspections using measuring equipment.
- A good understanding of manufacturing and machining processes.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work to production deadlines.
- A positive attitude towards housekeeping, maintenance and health & safety.
- The ability to work independently while also being part of a wider production team.
