Summary

Are you a Clinical / Counselling Psychologist with experience of working with children and adolescents with mental health difficulties and their families? Are you interested in working in CAMHS and developing clinical experience within a fast-paced CAMH Eating Disorders Service?

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Band 7 (1.0 WTE) Clinical / Counselling Psychologist to work in the Tri-borough CAMHS Eating Disorders team, based at Ealing CAMHS 1 Armstrong Way, Southall UB2 4SA.

The post holder will provide specialist psychological assessments and interventions within to young people and their families / carers. The post holder will also be responsible for line management and supervision of any pre-qualified psychologists or psychological professionals within the team and support further development and service user participation within the service. The Eating Disorders Team is an experienced and friendly multi-disciplinary team, including Family Therapy, CBT Practitioners, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Dietitians, and Psychiatry. The post holder will be part of a thriving psychology department across West London CAMHS. The post holder will be offered high quality and consistent supervision from within the service. We are looking for a skilled, hard-working and enthusiastic psychologist who is passionate about delivering high quality and effective services to children and young people.

The role combines clinical work with children, young people and their families, alongside opportunities to support team development and provide supervision and support to trainees and pre-qualified staff. Our teams are innovative, creative, and value multi-disciplinary working. Our teams are supported to undertake service development and quality improvement projects, as well as providing excellent development opportunities and support structures. Disciplines working within CAMHS include Psychology (including a vast CBT workforce of CWPs, EMHPs and supervisors), Nursing, Systemic Family Therapy, Child Psychotherapy, Social Work, Allied Health Professionals and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Psychology is very well-established profession within our CAMHS teams and has a large group of staff who deliver innovative and highly-regarded clinical services in many different contexts. There is a strong and supportive network across the three trust boroughs of Hounslow, Ealing and Hammersmith and Fulham of Senior Psychologists. Each borough holds regular psychology meetings and there are excellent CPD opportunities with regular whole-service trainings in therapeutic approaches, as well as support for specialist supervision.
