Summary

Reticom is looking for trainee network infrastructure engineer to join our growing team, delivering network installations into offices, factories, colleges and schools across Hampshire and the UK.

Working under the direction of our senior engineer, you will learn to install and commission copper and fibre networks, wireless infrastructure, video conference systems and general IT projects. These can be nationwide, but mostly are in the Hampshire area.

This is a hands-on role requiring regular travel and some overnight stays throughout the UK and would suit someone with experience in structured cabling, networking, CCTV or similar installation environments. Whilst no specific experience is necessary, the ability to grasp technical aspects is a requirement.

What You'll Be Doing

· Install copper Ethernet and fibre cables and associated containment.

· Install televisions, digital signage and associated video conference equipment.

· Install wireless access points and associated mounting systems.

· Complete installation works in accordance with project specifications, installation drawings and scope of works.

· Carry out equipment testing and basic commissioning activities.

· Identify and report installation issues, defects or project variations to the management team.

· Complete project works within agreed timescales whilst maintaining quality standards.
