Luma Education Recruitment is recruiting an experienced A Level Science Teacher / KS5 Science Teacher for an exciting international teaching opportunity at a British curriculum school overseas.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Science Teacher with QTS and strong A Level / Key Stage 5 teaching experience who is looking to take their teaching career overseas.

You will join a welcoming international school delivering a British curriculum, teaching motivated students at KS5 and preparing them for A Level examinations, while enjoying a new lifestyle and the benefits of living overseas.

A Level Science Teacher – KS5

The successful candidate will teach Science at A Level / Key Stage 5, supporting students through their post-16 studies and examination preparation.

The exact Science specialism may depend on the successful candidate's background and the school's timetable, with opportunities potentially including Biology, Chemistry or Physics.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver high-quality A Level Science lessons

Teach KS5 / post-16 students within a British curriculum setting

Prepare students for A Level examinations and assessments

Develop engaging practical and theoretical Science lessons

Monitor, assess and track student progress

Provide appropriate challenge and support to students of different abilities

Maintain high standards of classroom management and student engagement

Work collaboratively with Science department colleagues and school leadership

Contribute to curriculum planning and development

Support enrichment activities, trips and wider school life

Maintain high standards of safeguarding and student welfare

Requirements – A Level Science Teacher

To be considered for this international Science Teacher job, you will need:

QTS or an equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification

A relevant Science degree or teaching qualification

Recent experience teaching A Level Science / KS5

Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics

Experience preparing students for public examinations

Experience teaching within a UK or British curriculum school

Strong classroom management and communication skills

A commitment to high standards of teaching and learning

Flexibility, resilience and adaptability when working overseas

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain the required checks

Eligibility to work in the advertised overseas location

£34,000 – £46,000 per annum, depending on experience
