SEN Teaching Assistant - M26

The Details:

Radcliffe, M26

Monday - Friday

8:30am - 3:30pm

£110+ per day

Until Christmas initially, with a view to extending

We are currently looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in the M26 area, working within their specialist SEN provision.

This is a full-time role running Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm, initially until Christmas, with the potential to continue longer term for the right person.

The school is looking for someone who is confident supporting children with additional needs and who can build positive, trusting relationships with pupils. You'll be working alongside experienced staff within the SEN provision, providing learning and pastoral support throughout the school day.

The role will involve:

- Supporting pupils with a range of SEN needs

- Working on a 1:1 and small-group basis

- Supporting pupils with their learning, communication and development

- Helping children to regulate and manage their emotions

- Encouraging independence and positive behaviour

- Working closely with the class teacher and wider SEN team

- Providing a calm, consistent and nurturing approach

We're looking for someone who:

- Has previous experience working with children with SEN

- Is patient, caring and able to build strong relationships

- Can remain calm and positive when faced with challenging situations

- Is confident supporting children on a 1:1 basis

- Has a genuine interest in helping children make progress

- Is reliable and committed to a long-term role

Previous experience within a specialist SEN setting would be beneficial, although the school is open to hearing from candidates with strong transferable experience.
