Pay Rate: £48.10 per hour, with flexible holiday pay

Hours: 35-37 hours per week

Length of Contract: 6 months

Location: Remote working (Kent)

Lawyer – Highways & Planning / Property

We’re looking for an experienced Lawyer to provide specialist legal advice and support across Highways, Planning and Property matters.

This is a varied role involving legal advice, drafting documentation, legal research and representing Legal Services at meetings with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide expert legal advice across Planning, Highways and/or Property

Advise on planning applications, appeals, enforcement, highways law, public rights of way, village greens and property transactions

Draft and review legal documentation

Provide clear, timely advice to senior managers, officers and stakeholders

Undertake legal research and maintain specialist knowledge

Work collaboratively across Legal Services and wider teams

Essentials:

Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with a current practising certificate

2+ years PQE (guidance only)

Proven experience in Highways, Planning and/or Property law

Excellent legal research, drafting and communication skills

Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines and respond to urgent matters

Strong IT and case management skills

Proactive, collaborative and client-focused approach
