Summary

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading accident repair group, for the position of Commercial Vehicle Damage Assessor in Newark. The Vehicle Damage Assessor role offers a salary of up to £45,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience, with additional benefits designed to support career development and work-life balance.

Duties:

- Conduct detailed and precise assessments of damaged commercial vehicles, including LCV and HGVs

- Prepare accurate, cost-effective repair estimates using systems such as Audatex or similar

- Ensure repairs align with insurer and manufacturer guidelines

- Liaise effectively with customers, insurers, and engineers concerning repair processes

- Collaborate with workshop and parts departments to facilitate smooth repair progression

- Keep customers informed throughout the repair process

- Complete all repair documentation accurately and within specified timescales

- Maintain high standards of accuracy, quality, and customer service throughout all activities

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Damage Assessor, Estimator, or Vehicle Damage Assessor within the accident repair sector

- Expertise in using Audatex or comparable estimating software

- ATA VDA accreditation or current pursuit of this qualification

- Strong knowledge of commercial vehicles, especially LCVs and HGVs, is advantageous

- Excellent communication and organisational skills

- High attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure

- Professional manner when engaging with customers, insurers, and internal teams

- A team-oriented approach with a focus on delivering high standards of service
