Summary

We are sourcing a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician on behalf of our client, a reputable nationwide automotive dealer group, for their premium franchise-approved dealership in Cheltenham. This Diagnostic Vehicle Technician role offers the opportunity to work within a professional environment, providing expert diagnostic and repair services on a diverse range of vehicles. The Diagnostic Vehicle Technician will play a key part in maintaining high standards of service, supporting ongoing team development, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Duties of a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician:

- Conduct complex diagnostic, warranty, and repair work on a wide variety of vehicles

- Perform EV work (if qualified) and hydraulic repairs, adhering to manufacturer standards

- Utilise diagnostic tools and software efficiently to identify and resolve difficult issues

- Support and guide less experienced technicians within the workshop

- Maintain high levels of quality and productivity in a busy franchise environment

- Work collaboratively with team members to meet operational targets and provide excellent customer service

Requirements of a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician:

- Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair

- Experienced in diagnostic work, including electrical and mechanical systems

- Trained to a Diagnostic Technician level, with exposure to complex diagnostic and servicing tasks

- Ability to perform EV repairs (if qualified) and hydraulic repairs safely and competently

- Hold a valid UK driving licence with minimal points

- Committed, reliable, and able to produce high-quality work under pressure

- Good team player willing to share knowledge and support colleagues
