Summary

Wansdyke School is looking for an motivated and caring Teaching Assistant to join its vibrant team and provide support to pupils, starting November 2026.Working Hours: Part-time (30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 38 weeks per year, term-time only) The successful candidate would ideally also be able to undertake additional Wraparound Care duties within our after-school club provision, helping to ensure a safe, caring and stimulating environment for children who attend. These hours would be in addition to the Teaching Assistant role and would be offered under a separate fixed-term contract for 7 hours 10 minutes per week (3.15pm to 4.30pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, and 3.15pm to 5.35pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, excluding Teacher Training Days).We are a vibrant non-denominational single form entry primary school, educating children between the ages of 4 and 11. We have a supportive parent body and a 28 place Complex Needs Resource Base, which supports children with additional needs from across the county. As a Teaching Assistant, you must be able to work across all age ranges and be prepared to work flexibly to support children of all abilities, including those requiring SEND support.
