Your new schoolLift Winton is a popular secondary school with fantastic facilities and a great reputation within the local community. With that said, we continue to be ambitious and want to become the best school in Hampshire. The school has recently appointed a new Principal, Myles Preston, who brings with him over ten years of experience in both teaching and leadership roles. Myles is passionate about the prospect of working with and leading a fantastic community of likeminded staff who understand the potential that an excellent education has in unlocking doors for young people and who are dedicated to joining a school on a rapid journey of improvement. If you are ambitious, energetic and have a ‘get stuck in' attitude, this could be the role for you.

It's an exciting time to join and be part of our journey, the school maintained a ‘Good' grade in the latest visit by Ofsted in 2023. We pride ourselves on a culture of high support and high expectations, and we have excellent relationships with families and the community who work closely with us to ensure every child receives an excellent education.

Your new roleWe have recently appointed a new Head and Deputy Head of our maths department to turn us into the best Maths Department in Hampshire. You will be joining a team of eight, ranging from recently qualified to very experienced teachers. This is a rare opportunity to have both freedom and support to ensure that the curriculum is ambitious, broad and engaging. As a Trust we have an ambitious 490 strategy, we want 90% of our GCSE pupils to be scoring grade 4 or above in English and Maths and we need you to help drive this success.

What you'll need to succeedWe are looking for a qualified maths teacher who has a proven track record of driving and improving results.
