Summary

The overall purpose of the Management Accountant role is to be a trusted member of the Finance team, working closely with colleagues across the business and its subsidiaries to build strong, collaborative relationships. This role is responsible for ensuring financial accuracy and completeness across all areas of responsibility, while actively driving performance improvement within the team. The Management Accountant will challenge the business on income, costs, risks, and opportunities, providing valuable insight to support decision-making. Additionally, they will play a key role in supporting the month-end reporting process, including the preparation of associated budgets and forecasts.

The Management Accountant is responsible for ensuring all financial processes and transactions within Valleys to Coast Group are accurately accounted for. This role requires strong attention to detail and accuracy, alongside the ability to build trusting yet constructive relationships with both the Finance team and the wider business. Working closely with the Senior Finance Business Partners, the Management Accountant will support the production of financial reports, budgets, and month-end reporting. They will also develop and maintain a monthly schedule to ensure all key tasks are completed efficiently, enabling the timely delivery of high-quality management accounts.
