Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Manager posts within the Dermatology, Plastic Surgery & Burns Services. This role provides operational leadership and support across services delivered over multiple hospital sites.

Working alongside a second Service Manager, the postholder will provide day-to-day operational management for designated areas within Dermatology, Plastic Surgery & Burns, leading administrative teams and supporting the General Manager and CDU Leads with service development, performance management, project delivery and quality improvement initiatives.

The postholder will play a key role in driving service improvement, enhancing patient experience and ensuring key performance, access and quality standards are achieved across the specialty services.

In conjunction with the General Manager, SDU Lead and Matron, the post-holder will work across organisational boundaries to ensure appropriate services are in place and to deliver national and local strategic and operational objectives and standards.

As one of two Service Managers within the Dermatology, Plastic Surgery & Burns Services, the post-holder will work closely with their counterpart and the General Manager to ensure the efficient and effective day-to-day operational management of designated service areas. The role is responsible for supporting delivery of key quality, performance and financial targets, driving service improvement initiatives and line managing relevant staff within the specialty services.

The post-holder will be a key member of the specialty management team, contributing to the development and implementation of service plans and supporting the successful delivery of agreed objectives across Dermatology, Plastic Surgery and Burns.

The role is responsible for providing timely, efficient and effective operational management support, ensuring services remain responsive and are delivered to the highest possible clinical, quality and performance standards.
