The Opportunity
We are recruiting for a skilled
Maintenance Electrician to join a large-site maintenance team within a healthcare environment in South East London.
This role will involve carrying out both
planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and
reactive maintenance across a busy hospital estate, helping to ensure critical electrical systems remain safe, compliant, and fully operational. This is an excellent opportunity for an electrician looking for a stable, long-term position within an essential services environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems and equipment.
- Respond to reactive maintenance requests and electrical faults.
- Diagnose and repair electrical issues efficiently and safely.
- Complete minor installation and remedial works where required.
- Conduct testing, inspection, and fault-finding activities.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with current regulations and site procedures.
- Accurately complete maintenance documentation and reports.
- Work closely with the wider engineering team to maintain a safe and reliable healthcare facility.
Requirements
Essential
- Level 3 Electrical Qualification
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Previous experience carrying out electrical maintenance
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting ability
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures
Desirable
- AM2 Qualification
- Previous experience within a hospital, healthcare, commercial, or critical environment
- Knowledge of building services maintenance
