Care Assistant – Edenmore Nursing Home, Ilfracombe

What does the role involve?
As a Care Assistant at Edenmore Nursing Home, you'll support our family members with their everyday lives, helping them maintain their independence, dignity and choices.
Your day may include providing companionship, supporting family members with meals and activities, assisting with personal care such as washing, dressing and using the bathroom, and supporting people living with dementia.
You'll also use a computer or tablet to record daily care notes. Basic computer skills are helpful, but we'll teach you how to use our systems.
Training and support
We understand that starting a new career can feel daunting, especially if you've never worked in care before. That's why we provide a 12-week induction programme, an assigned mentor, ongoing training through our Care Academy and access to a specialist welfare helpline 24/7.
