If you live your best life, support someone to live theirs!

Do you have a passion for helping vulnerable people enjoy as much fulfilment as they can and feel included in their community? If compassion, care and inclusiveness are an important part of who you are, our opportunities to work away from the routine in a demanding, challenging but emotionally rewarding role could be for you.

Our Turning Point Scotland Services in Inverclyde are looking for people like you to help provide individualised support to adults with a wide range of needs, either on an individual 1:1 basis or alongside others and as part of a team.

Turning Point Scotland Inverclyde Support Service provides support to individuals experiencing enduring mental health difficulties, alcohol and drug misuse, and Alcohol-Related Brain Damage (ARBD).

The aim of the service is to promote a safe, secure, and positive lifestyle while maximising each individual's independence and integration within their local community. We are committed to delivering person-centred support, involving those who know the individual best. This may include family members, friends, health and social care professionals, advocacy services, and our own staff team.

Some of the individuals we support require assistance with personal care, social functioning, and maintaining their tenancy. The support provided is tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual, enabling them to achieve their personal goals and outcomes.

We take a holistic and person-centred approach to support, underpinned by our core values of respect, trust, commitment, and confidentiality. Our staff are trained to manage challenging behaviours, provide clear and effective communication, and support individuals in achieving the outcomes they identify and review regularly.

Our employees benefit from a range of training, support, and development opportunities, as well as pension and employee benefit packages. Their dedication, skills, and personal qualities make a meaningful difference to the lives of the people we support.

The Turning Point Scotland Inverclyde Support Service operates throughout the year, including weekends, public holidays, and festive periods such as Christmas Day, New Year, and Easter. Support is delivered daily between 9:00am and 9:30pm, ensuring consistent and reliable assistance for those who use our service.

No previous working experience is needed; full training will be provided to you. We believe having the right values of respect, compassion, inclusion and integrity is all you need to join our team! We would offer you full support in completing your application.

As a Support Practitioner, you will work with individuals who have a wide range of support needs, providing them with practical and emotional support and encouraging them to achieve their own personal outcomes in all aspects of their daily lives e.g. keeping safe, meaningful activities, community involvement, physical health, relationships, emotional health and wellbeing.
