Summary
HGV Class 1 Driver
• Pay: £15.00 per hour (Pay and hours negotiable at stage of permanent offer following an initial 12-week period)
• Hours: Monday to Thursday: 5am - 3pm / Friday: 5am - 2pm (1-hour unpaid lunch per day)
• Weekly pay for initial 12-week probationary period

NW Recruitment Services Ltd are recruiting on behalf of our client for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to support recycling and materials collection operations across the North West.
This is a hands-on driving role involving the delivery and collection of containers and recyclable materials from customer and supplier locations. The successful candidate will need to be comfortable working independently, operating a range of vehicle and container systems, and representing our client professionally when visiting customer sites.
The role
• Driving HGV Class 1 vehicles across the North West (44t articulated, 26t rigid vehicles, Moffett & hook lift / RORO experience essential)
• Delivering and collecting containers and materials from customer and supplier sites
• Safely loading, transporting and discharging materials
• Completing daily vehicle and equipment checks
• Ensuring vehicles, trailers and loads are safe and secure
• Reporting defects, damage or breakdowns promptly
• Following relevant health & safety, tachograph and drivers' hours regulations
• Providing a professional and courteous service when dealing with customers and site contacts
• Working independently and adapting to operational requirements
