Do you enjoy working in a busy kitchen environment and being part of a team? Would you like the opportunity to support the delivery of professional and recreational cooking classes?

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Kitchen Porter to join our Commercial Development and Delivery Team, supporting the successful delivery of our evening cooking classes.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes, takes pride in maintaining high standards and wants to be part of creating a positive learning experience for our students.

About the role

As a Kitchen Porter, you’ll provide essential practical support to our chef instructors and learners during evening cooking classes. You’ll help ensure the kitchen is clean, safe, organised and ready for each session, allowing our chefs and students to focus on developing their cooking skills.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Washing dishes, utensils, pots, pans and kitchen equipment promptly and efficiently

• Maintaining the cleanliness of kitchen work areas, floors, walls and storage areas

• Supporting chefs with basic food preparation tasks when required

• Ensuring kitchen equipment and work areas are clean and ready for use

• Disposing of waste and recycling in accordance with health and safety procedures

• Using cleaning materials and chemicals safely and storing them correctly

• Following food hygiene, health and safety and College procedures at all times

• Helping to maintain a safe, tidy and organised working environment
