Summary
Teaching Assistant - Primary & Secondary Schools
Are you an enthusiastic and adaptable Teaching Assistant looking for flexible work across Bristol and the surrounding areas? We are currently recruiting reliable professionals to support local primary, secondary, and SEN schools. This is your chance to make a genuine impact on pupil's learning and development while enjoying structured school hours.
Responsibilities:
- Support class teachers with daily classroom management and the delivery of engaging lessons.
- Work 1-to-1 or in small groups with pupils requiring extra learning or behavioural support.
- Encourage student engagement, boost confidence, and promote positive behaviour throughout the school day.
- Help create and maintain an inclusive, safe, and positive learning environment for all students.
- Assist with task differentiation to meet the needs of pupils with varied learning requirements, including those with SEN.
Qualifications:
Experience: A minimum of 3 months of UK classroom experience is required.
Checks: You must have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one immediately.
Availability: Must be free to work between 8:30 AM and 3:30 PM on full-school-day bookings.
Core Skills: You possess strong communication skills, patience, adaptability, and a proactive, dedicated attitude.
Travel: You are based in or are easily able to commute across Bristol and surrounding areas, including South Gloucestershire, North Somerset, and BANES.
