The local operation supports the movement of steel materials and related products, making safe, reliable delivery an important part of its day-to-day service.The roleYou will be responsible for completing steel deliveries safely, efficiently and professionally. The role may involve:• Driving an HGV Class 1 vehicle on planned delivery routes• Delivering steel products to customers and designated locations• Completing vehicle checks before departure• Ensuring loads are secure and handled in line with safety requirements• Completing delivery paperwork accurately• Maintaining good communication with the transport and site teams• Representing the business professionally when making deliveriesSkills and qualifications• Valid HGV Class 1 driving entitlement• Relevant Driver CPC and tachograph compliance• Previous experience delivering steel or similar heavy materials• Good understanding of load security and safe delivery procedures• Reliable, punctual and safety-focused approach• Professional communication skills• Ability to work independently and follow delivery instructionsBenefits• £18 per hour• Day shifts• Temporary work• Minimum of 8 hours paid• Paid every Wednesday• Profile visible to local employersIf you have suitable HGV Class 1 experience and are confident completing steel deliveries, this could be a good opportunity for you.Apply today.
