Summary

There is a whole day (2 sessions) Gynaecology Oncology list working in a busy and vital area of Gynaecology. Patients of wide age range and fitness require surgical assistance and anaesthetic cares. Commitment includes a further 2 sessions made up of theatre lists or Preoperative assessment clinic in Gynaecological Surgery at the Liverpool Womens Hospital. The department expects and promotes good teaching and training for junior anaesthetic staff and the successful appointees will contribute in this area along with providing training for other groups of staff within the Trust. Supporting professional activity time (SPA) is offered initially as 1.5 PA (6hrs) for purposes of, among others, continuing professional development, enhanced appraisal and revalidation, with further SPAs granted after agreement of a job plan with the Clinical Director and Medical Director.
