Summary

Connect Appointments is recruiting a Transport Clerk to join an established logistics business based in Larkhall on a temporary ongoing basis.

Our client operates a busy transport and distribution operation, requiring a reliable and organised individual to support the smooth running of daily logistics administration.

What's on offer?

  • Ongoing temporary position

  • Paid weekly at

    • £14.83 per hour

  • Working Sunday to Thursday, 1pm to 9pm

    • Then moving to Monday to Thursday (with occasional flexibility needed)

As a Transport Clerk, your duties will include:

  • Scheduling and monitoring vehicle routes and delivery times

  • Communicating with drivers regarding routes, delays and instructions

  • Processing delivery notes, invoices and consignment documents accurately

  • Tracking shipments and updating customers and internal teams on progress

  • Handling incoming and outgoing calls and emails related to transport operations

  • Ensuring compliance with company procedures and transport regulations

To be considered as a Transport Clerk, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a logistics, transport or administration role

  • Strong organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Basic computer literacy including spreadsheets and transport management systems

  • The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
