To be accountable for co-ordinating patient care, the management of resources and performance of staff. 5. To be responsible and accountable for Finance and Human Resources issues related to the department.6. To be responsible for the implementation of Audit, Quality and Risk Management initiatives.7. The post holder will play a key role in supporting newly qualified nurses coming into the specialty, promoting high standards of care through role modelling of expert clinical skills, leadership and professionalism.8. To act as an assessor, teaching and supervising staff undertaking the neonatal training, facilitating the creation of a positive learning environment where staff development is encouraged and supportedYou should ideally possess a recognised teaching qualification and demonstrate the ability for and commitment to continue your ongoing development. You will maintain high standards of care throughout, communicate with the MDT, check and administer drugs according to guidelines, and support and foster safe practice on the neonatal unit.
