An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, ambitious CCAB or CIMA qualified accountant to join our Financial Management team as Senior Finance Manager. We are seeking an individual with strong leadership skills, excellent analytical expertise, and the ability to engage and influence clinical and non-clinical stakeholders across a large, complex organisation.

The successful candidate will provide expert financial advice, business partnering support and strategic leadership to a designated business unit, hospital site or corporate area. They will play a key role in driving financial performance, supporting operational and clinical teams, and contributing to the Trust’s financial strategy.

The Senior Finance Manager will support the Head of Finance, Associate Head of Finance and Deputy Head of Finance in delivering all aspects of financial management across their portfolio. The post holder will lead and develop a team of finance professionals, ensuring the provision of high-quality financial reporting, forecasting, planning and business partnering services. They will be responsible for coordinating and validating monthly income and expenditure positions, producing insightful performance reports and influencing operational managers to take corrective action where required.

The role requires an individual who can provide expert financial advice on complex service developments, business cases, savings programmes and strategic initiatives. The post holder will work closely with senior clinicians, operational managers and corporate colleagues to support evidence-based decision making, maximise value for money and ensure robust financial governance. They will also contribute to the development of medium and long-term financial plans, oversee financial aspects of large-scale projects and deputise for senior finance leaders when required.
