Summary

We are looking for a committed and compassionate individual with extensive clinical high-risk knowledge, and leadership experience to work in hospital based MDT within Nottinghamshire. Working collaboratively with the Team Leads and Podiatry Service Manager, you will be required to cohesively support and direct a team of hospital based podiatrists to manage both diabetic, high-risk patient caseload. The main responsibilities include - To cover 15 hours clinical duties within hospital based service and 7.5 hours within a community setting Take clinical responsibility for caseload management and treatment of complex high-risk cases Take clinical responsibility for the work undertaken by the podiatry staff working within the MDT and work alongside the diabetic consultant and other health professionals within the diabetes team. To be able to work autonomously and to be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, care planning, management and evaluation of podiatric interventions, and know when to refer on appropriately. To participate in the support of placements for podiatry, AHP and other health professions students To supervise and mentor podiatrists to complete and maintain competency level. To be actively involved in the provision of foot health education and advice to staff, patients, relatives and carers and to participate in foot health training where appropriate. To follow departmental and trust policies and procedures and guidelines, but also have the discretion to make own clinical diagnosis and decisions within professional guidelines. A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
