Summary

Packing Operative

Monday - Friday

8.30am - 16.00pm - 35 hours per week

We are currently recruiting for a

Packing Operative to join a busy, friendly and close-knit team.

This is a hands-on role working within a fast-paced packing environment, where accuracy and attention to detail are extremely important. You will be responsible for picking and packing stock for

customer orders, ensuring everything is prepared correctly and completed to daily deadlines.

Duties will include:

• Picking stock accurately using detailed pick lists

• Packing customer orders according to specific instructions

• Applying barcode labels to products

• Bubble wrapping products and using mailer bags where required

• Checking and counting stock accurately

• Ensuring orders are completed within daily deadlines

• Weighing and sorting post bags ready for collection

• Checking incoming deliveries

• Replenishing and organising stock on shelves

• Keeping the packing and stockroom areas clean and organised

• Sorting cardboard and maintaining good housekeeping standards

• Regular manual handling, including occasional lifting of boxes up to

20kg

Good numeracy skills and the ability to count accurately

• Excellent attention to detail

• Reliable and hardworking

• Comfortable working at pace within a high-volume environment

• Able to follow detailed packing instructions

• A good level of physical fitness due to the manual nature of the role

• Able to work effectively as part of a small team

•

Must be able to commit to the full assignment through until Christmas

Previous experience within

packing, warehousing, picking or order fulfilment would be advantageous.
