The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for a
Transport Planner to join our client in
Swadlincote.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is organised, confident communicating with
drivers and customers, and able to keep things running smoothly in a busy transport environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Planning and scheduling daily deliveries and collections
• Coordinating drivers and transport schedules
• Communicating with drivers and customers via phone and email
• Monitoring deliveries and dealing with any changes or delays
• Updating spreadsheets and transport systems
• Completing general transport administration
• Supporting the smooth running of the transport operation
The Ideal Candidate:
• Previous experience in
transport, logistics, transport planning or scheduling would be beneficial
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Confident using computers, spreadsheets and transport/administration systems
• Able to work under pressure and prioritise a busy workload
• Good attention to detail
• Reliable, proactive and professional approach to work
• Confident communicating with drivers, customers and colleagues
