Long Term Futures is seeking a caring and patient Reception Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Willenhall, Coventry.
The role will involve supporting children across Reception, with a particular focus on SEN support, phonics and early reading. You will work closely with the class teacher and wider inclusion team, providing whole-class, small-group and 1:1 support to help children access learning and make progress.
The Role:
- Support learning across a Reception classroom
- Deliver and reinforce Read Write Inc. phonics
- Provide 1:1 and small-group SEN support
- Support pupils with additional learning and communication needs
- Adapt activities to meet individual pupil needs
- Support early reading, language and communication development
- Encourage independence, confidence and positive engagement
- Work closely with the class teacher and SEND team
What the school is looking for:
- Level 2 or 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification, or equivalent
- Previous experience working within EYFS or a primary school
- Experience supporting children with SEND
- Confidence supporting phonics and early reading
- Read Write Inc. experience would be highly desirable
- Good understanding of the EYFS curriculum
- A patient, nurturing and inclusive approach
