McCarthy Stone is hiring a Zero-hour Care Supervisor to support our friendly team at

Weighbridge Court, Chipping Ongar, Essex

Help older adults live safely, independently, and with dignity — all in a secure and vibrant retirement community.

Pay and Hours

Day shifts:

£15.00 per hour

Sleeping night shifts:

£12.24 per hour

Weekend premium:

Additional £1 per hour

Shifts: Flexible day, evening, and weekend shifts

Scheduled in coordination with the Estate and Operations Managers

Your Role as a Zero-hour Care Supervisor

As a Relief Care Supervisor, you will:

Support residents’ safety, wellbeing, and independence

Respond to emergency calls during night shifts

Oversee and assist with day-to-day care tasks

Coordinate and support engaging social activities

Foster a positive, welcoming environment for residents and staff

What We’re Looking For

Experience in a senior care role

Minimum Level 2 Health and Social Care qualification (or equivalent)

Strong communication and organisational skills

A caring, friendly, and reliable attitude

Team leadership experience is a bonus
