This varied role offers the chance to support important corporate work at the heart of SCTS, while developing skills in business support, project support, governance, planning, risk, resilience and corporate reporting.

About the Team:

The Chief Executive’s Office is a high-performing business unit which supports a range of important corporate functions across SCTS. Within this, the Planning, Governance and Risk Team supports the Executive Team, SCTS Board and Executive Change Board by helping to provide the information, coordination and assurance needed to set strategy, plan effectively, manage corporate risks, prepare for emergencies and monitor delivery of key priorities.

Job Purpose:

This is a varied and developmental role which will provide flexible support to meet changing business priorities. It offers an excellent opportunity to gain insight into corporate governance and the wider strategic work of SCTS, while developing practical skills in stakeholder engagement and cross-organisation working.

The post-holder will provide administrative and project support across a varied portfolio of corporate work. Working with colleagues across SCTS, the role will involve coordinating information requests, maintaining records, trackers and action logs, organising meetings and events, supporting governance meetings and boards, managing document libraries, monitoring returns from business areas, and assisting with planning, risk, assurance and resilience activities.

What you will be doing:

• Providing administrative and project support across workstreams, governance activity and corporate priorities.

• Coordinating meetings, workshops and events, including preparing agendas, distributing papers, taking minutes and tracking follow-up actions.

• Maintaining spreadsheets, trackers, action logs, databases, SharePoint areas, document libraries and information records.

• Coordinating information requests and monitoring returns to support reporting and business requirements.

• Preparing, formatting and quality-checking reports, presentations, briefing materials and correspondence.

• Supporting the design and delivery of workshops, events and engagement activities.

• Building positive working relationships across the organisation and providing flexible support as priorities change.

This role offers a unique opportunity to develop your understanding of how corporate decision-making is supported at the heart of SCTS. You will gain exposure to governance, business performance, planning, assurance, risk, resilience and change, while building practical experience in a supportive and high-performing CEO business unit.
