Summary

In the absence of the Junior Sister/Charge Nurse to be responsible for the day-to-day management of the ward. To ensure the compliance of mandatory training and appraisal requirements for delegated Nursing Assistants. The post holder will be expected to demonstrate digital competence and actively contribute to the Trust's digital strategy. This includes promoting the effective use of Epic EHR, ensuring high quality electronic documentation, maintaining information governance standards, and supporting colleagues in developing digital capability. Supervise junior staff, or unqualified staff, in all aspects of care. Ensure that staff has the knowledge, skills and resources to carry out care delegated to them. To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to promote good communication and a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care. To participate in the audit of the principles of the Essence of Care benchmarking process, and implement the action plan as required.
