Hours: Full time, 37.5 hrs per week across seven days, Permanent position with full and part time hours available, all MKUH roles will be considered for flexible working

We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our Imaging Department as Imaging Assistants.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a dynamic and expanding service. We recently opened our new Scanning Centre in May 2026 and continue to provide diagnostic services through our Community Diagnostic Centres at Lloyds Court and Whitehouse Park.

As an Imaging Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting patients throughout their diagnostic journey and assisting the clinical team in delivering high-quality care.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Safely transporting patients to and from Imaging departments.

• Providing high-quality care and support throughout the patient's imaging journey.

• Assisting within a variety of imaging modalities, including Ultrasound, CT and MRI.

• Undertaking housekeeping and administrative duties to support departmental functions.

• A comprehensive induction programme.

• Training in venepuncture and cannulation.

• Support to complete the Care Certificate.

As this role requires travel between multiple sites, a full driving licence and access to transport are essential.

Working Pattern

• Working 12-hour (08:00-20:00) non-consecutive shifts across a 7 days per week, ??24-hour service

Main duties and responsibilities

• To work across all modalities within Imaging such as CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Xray, Mobile Xray, Theatres, A&E, Interventional Radiology, and Fluoroscopy

• Perform intermediate clinical procedures, cannulation, as delegated by a registered professional.

• To study for and complete the Fundamentals of Care Certificate if new to healthcare and apply your learned skills to benefit the department.
