Summary

HGV Technician – Night Shift – West Thurrock

We are recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Technician or Heavy Vehicle Technician to join a busy main dealer workshop in West Thurrock.

Applicants must hold a Level 3 HGV qualification or equivalent, a Full UK Driving Licence and have the right to work in the UK.

Location: West Thurrock, Essex

Salary: £58,500 basic (£30.00 per hour)

OTE: £62,400

Hours: Tuesday to Friday, 8:00pm – 6:30am | 40 hours per week

Overtime: Time and a half

HGV Technician Role

- Service, maintain and repair HGVs and commercial vehicles

- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment

- Complete repairs efficiently and to required quality standards

- Work in line with workshop procedures and safety standards

- Accurately complete job cards and workshop documentation

- Ensure vehicles meet required safety and maintenance standards

- Support the efficient day-to-day operation of the workshop

HGV Technician Requirements

- Level 3 HGV qualification or equivalent

- Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Technician or Heavy Vehicle Technician

- Strong HGV servicing, maintenance and repair knowledge

- Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills

- Experience using computer-aided diagnostic equipment

- Full UK Driving Licence

- Right to work in the UK

- Main dealer experience is advantageous
