Summary

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a reputable independent motor trade business for the position of Branch Manager at their Bournemouth location. This role provides a unique career opportunity for experienced automotive Branch Managers seeking to lead a busy and expanding operation.

Benefits:

- Competitive salary of up to £45,000 per annum

- Performance-based bonuses, with an estimated OTE of approximately £48,000

- Structured Monday to Friday working week, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

- Leadership role overseeing a dedicated team on-site

- Long-term plans for relocation to larger premises, enhancing operational capacity

Duties:

- Oversee daily operations of the Bournemouth branch, ensuring efficiency and adherence to quality standards

- Manage, motivate, and develop a team of technicians and support staff as a Branch Manager

- Act as the primary customer-facing representative, fostering strong relationships with clients and suppliers

- Maintain health and safety standards, ensuring compliance with company policies

- Implement and oversee operational procedures to optimise workflow and organisational structure

- Monitor team performance, providing leadership and motivational support to achieve business targets

Requirements:

- Proven experience in a workshop controller, master technician, or managerial role within the motor trade

- Strong mechanical knowledge, ideally with a background as a time-served mechanic

- Excellent people management and communication skills

- Ability to oversee work quality and lead a team without being primarily technical on a day-to-day basis

- Sound knowledge of heavy mechanics and diagnostics

- Skilled at providing exceptional customer service and representing the business professionally

- Approachable leadership style combined with organisational and motivational abilities
