The role offers the opportunity to work in a practical delivery environment, helping ensure items reach their destinations safely and efficiently.The roleA temporary Car/Van Driver is required to support daytime furniture delivery operations in Portsmouth. This is a hands-on driving role involving regular customer deliveries, loading and unloading, and multiple drops during each shift.Key responsibilities• Drive a car or van safely and responsibly• Complete furniture deliveries to scheduled locations• Carry out multidrop routes, with more than 10 deliveries• Load, unload and move items using handball techniques• Check delivery details and ensure items are handled carefully• Provide a professional and helpful service at each delivery point• Follow route instructions, road safety requirements and workplace proceduresSkills and experience• Experience driving a car or van is desirable• Previous delivery, furniture or multidrop experience would be useful• Confident carrying out manual handling and handball duties• Able to manage a busy route and meet delivery times• Reliable, organised and safety-conscious• Good communication and customer service skills• Able to work independently and as part of a delivery teamBenefits• £13 per hour• Paid every Wednesday• Day shifts• Temporary work with visibility to local employersApply today.
