Summary

Hours: 28 hours and 20 minutes per week, term time only. Monday to Friday, 8:40am – 15.20pm TA Salary: Hay 10 (£27709 - £29071 FTE per annum)Term Time only including 5 inset daysThis is a temporary contract for a Year 6 child with an EHCP until August 2027 This contract will end if EHCP funding ceases, the child leaves the school or due to staffing review.Are you a champion for inclusion? At Bromley Heath Junior School, we are looking for an inspiring, child-centred and proactive Teaching Assistant to join our SEN team. We are a community that prioritises connection and belonging as the essential foundations for all children. This role will involve closely supporting an individual in receipt of an Education Health Care plan as well as running interventions for small groups to enable all to be successful within learning. We are looking for candidates who have particular skills in the following areas: • The Insight to understand and champion the unique needs of learners with neurodivergence.• The Compassion to support children navigating social, emotional and mental health challenges. • The Wisdom to foster independence, ensuring every child feels capable and empowered. • The Warmth to establish the positive relationships that our school is built upon. • The Patience to help young people regulate their emotions and find their focus during the school day. • The Dedication to building the self-confidence and resilience that allows our pupils to thrive. What You’ll Do • Provide bespoke support tailored to the specific requirements of an EHCP. • Adapt learning materials to ensure the curriculum is accessible and engaging. • Deliver targeted interventions (literacy, numeracy or social skills) for small groups. • Work closely with the SENCo, class teacher and external professionals.
