Genetics1. Training in basic clinical genetics / genetic counselling2. Conducting family screening.3. Instruction in basic laboratory techniques (DNA extraction / PCR /sequencing)Non-clinical training and responsibilities:Research1. Work with clinical and research staff on existing projects2. Develop own research project in inherited cardiac diseaseTeaching To participate in teaching of medical students.Governance To participate in audit and clinical governance at Barts Heart. This may includeresponsibility for managing multidisciplinary meetings and/or a programme ofclinical audit.
