Summary

To be an integral part of the CINSS Team. To provide evidenced based specialist Speech and Language Therapy assessment and appropriate therapeutic intervention to patients referred to the service; including Communication and Dysphagia management Follow defined stroke and neurological care pathways and other relevant rehabilitation pathways as directed by line management. To liaise closely with members of the interdisciplinary team and wider multi agency and multidisciplinary teams as required, facilitating effective caseload management. To utilise specialist skill and knowledge to manage a neurological caseload. To have general knowledge of a variety of conditions including neurological, dementia, frailty and respiratory applicable to the post and role, understanding the impact of multi pathological presentation. To utilise a comprehensive range of evidenced based specialist assessments and treatment to patients in their own home or in a clinic environment. To assist in the quality and activity monitoring systems, to support evaluation of effectiveness of the service.
