Summary
Our client based in Glasgow is currently seeking a Skilled Drainage Operative to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis. You will initially work through the agency for 12 weeks, with the opportunity to transfer to a full-time position thereafter.
This is a hands-on, physical role involving a range of drainage and minor civil works. Duties will include excavations, high-pressure water jetting, patching and lining repairs, and operating CCTV drainage equipment to identify and diagnose faults. You will also be responsible for accurately completing job paperwork and reports.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out drainage maintenance, unblocking, and repair works
Operate high-pressure jetting and CCTV inspection equipment
Complete minor civils works including excavations, patching, and lining
Accurately complete all required paperwork and reports
Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times
Requirements:
Previous experience in drainage or a similar field is highly desirable
Full UK driving licence essential (no more than 6 points; no DR or CD convictions)
Comfortable with physically demanding, outdoor work
CSCS card preferred
Manual Handling and Asbestos tickets advantageous but not essential, as training can be provided
A company van may be provided once permanent.
Hours - Monday to Friday – 07:30 to 16:00
(On becoming permanent, you will be required to participate in an on-call rota.)
Pay - DOE.
