Summary

About the Role / Job Summary:

We're looking for an experienced Building Surveyor (Disrepair) to join our Repairs Team, managing legal disrepair cases and helping ensure residents receive a high-quality, timely, and professional service.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage legal disrepair cases effectively and efficiently.

Conduct thorough inspections and assessments of properties.

Prepare detailed reports and documentation for legal proceedings.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Provide professional advice to residents regarding their disrepair issues.

Monitor progress and outcomes of legal cases.

Maintain accurate records and databases related to disrepair cases.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Building Surveyor or in a similar role.

Strong understanding of disrepair legislation and regulations.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Education Requirements:

Degree in Building Surveying or a related field.

Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., MRICS) are desirable.

Experience Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years' experience in building surveying, particularly in disrepair.

Experience in managing legal cases and liaising with legal professionals.

Familiarity with housing association practices is an advantage.
