Summary

To provide a high-quality service across Lewisham and Greenwich Healthcare NHS Trustthrough line management of the Leg Ulcer/Lymphoedema Specialist Nurses and todemonstrate the required skills in Lymphoedema and leg ulcer management along with expertassessment skills while working in close collaboration with other clinical colleagues to lead thedevelopment in the delivery of an expert nurse-led service across the organisation. The postholder will contribute to advancing the body of knowledge through education, research andaudit with the aim of improving access to treatment services. The post holder will have a keyrole in ensuring seamless, co-ordinated and timely approach to care for their patient group inclinics and patients own home as appropriate. The post holder will also provide leadership,management and a high level of clinical expertise in their specialism and contribute to thesupport, education and training for their team and other healthcare professionals. The postholder will have a clear understanding of the strategic political view and challenges faced byprimary, community and secondary care through the STP in meeting recommendations for thedevelopment of the service and will work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team in theplanning and development of a more integrated service for patients across primary, communityand secondary care. This post will include working and travelling to all Trust sites.
