As a Curriculum Manager - Maths, you will lead the development, quality and continuous improvement of curriculum delivery—ensuring programmes are relevant, effective and aligned to employer needs.

What you’ll be responsible for

In this role, you’ll lead curriculum strategy and quality across cross-campus delivery. You will work with curriculum teams to make sure learners receive well-designed teaching, supported by robust assessment and responsive planning. You’ll also build strong links with internal and external partners to ensure curriculum stays current and career-led.

Curriculum leadership: Oversee curriculum planning and development to ensure programmes are engaging, coherent, and aligned to intended outcomes (progression to higher education or employment).

Quality assurance: Strengthen quality processes, including monitoring, internal review, standardisation, and improvement planning.

Teaching and learning impact: Support curriculum teams to deliver high-quality learning experiences, with clear learning goals and consistent standards.

Assessment and outcomes: Ensure assessment practices are reliable, transparent and aligned to programme aims, learner needs and progression pathways.

Employer and community alignment: Collaborate with local businesses and regional employers to maintain course relevance, practical learning opportunities and meaningful progression routes.

Compliance and policy: Ensure curriculum delivery meets relevant statutory and regulatory expectations, including documentation and governance requirements.

Data-informed improvement: Analyse learner performance and curriculum indicators; use findings to drive improvements in retention, achievement and student outcomes.

Resource planning: Support staffing, timetabling considerations and curriculum resource needs to enable effective delivery across sites.

How you’ll work

You’ll be a visible leader who blends strategic thinking with day-to-day support. This is a hands-on management role where you will:

Lead by coaching and building capability within curriculum teams.

Work collaboratively across functions and sites to ensure an integrated approach.

Translate curriculum intent into practical delivery—so learners feel the difference in every lesson.

Use insight from employers, learner voice and performance data to keep programmes current and impactful.

What we’re looking for

We’re keen to hear from experienced curriculum professionals and leaders with a strong background in Maths who understand what makes learning effective and how to measure its impact. You may have worked across vocational and/or academic programmes, and you’ll bring a confident, supportive approach to management.

Proven curriculum leadership experience, including quality assurance and improvement.

Strong understanding of curriculum design and how to align learning aims, teaching, assessment and outcomes.

Experience working with external stakeholders—particularly employers, industry partners or progression providers.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams.

Data literacy—you can interpret performance trends and turn them into action.

A commitment to learner-centred practice, including inclusive approaches that support progression for all.

Knowledge of relevant compliance expectations (or demonstrable willingness to develop quickly).
