Summary
Electrical Construction Manager - Rail
Location: West London
Salary: £70,000 – £80,000 + package
We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Construction Manager to join an established M&E contractor delivering major rail and commercial fit-out projects across West London.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical construction management, with proven experience delivering commercial fit-out projects as well as rail projects.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee electrical works from pre-construction through to completion.
Lead electrical site teams, subcontractors, engineers and supervisors.
Coordinate electrical installations with mechanical, construction and project teams.
Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.
Review and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, programmes and technical documentation.
Manage project progress, programme and site coordination.
Coordinate labour, materials, plant and specialist resources.
Manage technical queries, RFIs and coordination requirements.
Attend site and project meetings, providing regular progress updates.
Ensure compliance with relevant health & safety, quality and environmental requirements.
Oversee testing, commissioning, snagging and handover.
Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors and other project stakeholders.
Requirements
Proven experience as an Electrical Construction Manager, Electrical Project Manager, Electrical Site Manager or similar.
Strong commercial fit-out experience is essential.
Previous rail project experience is essential.
Proven experience managing electrical packages on large-scale construction projects.
Strong knowledge of electrical installations and construction processes.
Experience managing subcontractors, engineers and site teams.
Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
Experience taking projects through installation, testing, commissioning and handover.
Relevant electrical qualifications or equivalent industry experience.
SMSTS and relevant CSCS/ECS qualifications.
Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
